The following 5 core courses of PSU’s River Restoration Curriculum are taken in a standard “short-course” professional format. Completion of these 5 core courses and 2 electives leads to award of the PSU River Restoration Professional Certificate. You are required to pass each of the courses. Optional university graduate-level credit is available for each course. Please note that upon completion of each course, a certificate of completion is also awarded.
You must take all five courses to qualify for the River Restoration Professional Certificate, even if one or more of these courses falls within your area of expertise. This is because the courses are designed not only to deliver high-quality applied science and industry practic insight, but also to help you build contextual awareness of the role of your practice within an integrated restoration team.
