Course Description

This intensive 3-day workshop will instruct students on the use of HEC-RAS for two-dimensional hydraulic modeling. The course will include an overview of 2-D flow theory, RAS Mapper, and the differences between 1-D and 2-D modeling. There will be a focus on the applicability and use of 2-D modeling for river restoration design. The use of the model is taught through hands-on exercises and real-world project examples.
Students should have an existing working knowledge of HEC-RAS.

EPP 501 Hydraulics Analysis using HEC-RAS 2D is scheduled for October 7-9, 2024. This in-person class will be held in Portland, OR. The last day to withdraw from this class for a full refund is September 25, 2024. This course can be used to fulfill the requirements for the Advanced Restoration Certificate.
