Course Description

The Portland Summer Percussion Academy presents an exciting and interactive seminar for students ages 14-18 on a broad range of percussion playing, instruments, composing, and topics. Students will connect with a diverse group of percussion performers, teachers, and composers, and learn styles and techniques in the areas of snare drum, marimba, tambourine, triangle, orchestral performance, North Indian rhythm and tabla, Taiko drumming, Brazilian Samba, Javanese Gamelan, percussion chamber music, composition, and more!

Refund policy: Students will receive a refund (minus a $200 administrative fee) if they withdraw from the course through June 25. There is no refund for withdrawals after June 25.
