Course Description

Offered by PSU’s Nonprofit Institute and taught by experienced practitioner-scholars, this professional certificate program provides students with a solid foundation in the core concepts and practices of program evaluation as well as the opportunity to apply them in their organizations. By the end of this program, students will be able to develop or update a theory of change; design and prepare an evaluation plan; develop data collection instruments; analyze basic quantitative and qualitative data; report findings, conclusions and recommendations; and, build a culture of evaluation in their nonprofit. Learning is synthesized through the design of an evaluation framework and methodology for a relevant program with each student. Space is limited. Questions? Contact NPI at npi@pdx.edu.
