Course Description

This course gives the student a look into the various methods of construction project delivery and contracting. These include design-build, construction manager-general contractor (CM/GC), and public-private partnerships (PPP). There are advantages and disadvantages to each, so knowing which is most appropriate for your project is invaluable. Certain rules must be followed in gaining approval for the use of these methods, which will be covered with real-life examples. The class will evaluate the practices of various agencies in promoting the use of minority, women and emerging small businesses (MWESB) in their construction projects.
